Mother-Son Glow Party

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

The Club has long had a Father-Daughter dance and we heard feedback and the desire for a Mother-Son event as well. Boys don't enjoy getting all dressed up and coming to a formal dance with their moms. We decided to make ours a fun dance party that is Glow in the Dark themed. The room is all blacked out and decorated with glow and black light products. The attendees receive Glow in the Dark necklace's bracelets, glasses, etc. to make the night even more enjoyable. This event now happens twice a year, as every time the event is sold out with a waitlist.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

After seeing what a hit our Father-Daughter dance's were becoming and hearing the desire to have a Mother-Son version we came up with the Mother-Son Glow Dance Party. As opposed to getting dressed up for a formal dance, this is a more relaxed event and turns out to be a very enjoyable night for the Mom's and Son's. This event sells out every time!
