Idea Fair
Multi-Sensory Intimate Wine Dinner
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
In the cold winter months, we find it particularly hard to have events as vibrant as we host. We leaned into with this dinner, which had a more subdued and moody feel than most of our most popular events, and delivered a product that was unexpected, elevated, and grand without being pretentious. The vintner-selected regional manager for Spire Collection came to walk the members through the journey of wine, and the staff was impeccably trained to walk them through the journey of food. By limiting seating for a more intimate dining experience, we were able to deliver on the high promise of flawless, comfortable, and unobtrusive service throughout the dinner.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
We have set a very high bar for future similar meals. The members have embraced an out-of-the-box approach to subsequent meals and the trust between staff and membership continues to climb. Additionally, this has sparked a remarkable amount of self-motivation for the staff to creatively prepare and present a number of options in new and unexpected ways.
The demand for the next dinner (and the next, and the next) means that we will easily sell these out for years, and have become the go-to for special experiences, even in a city renowned for providing them.
