How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Sometimes it can be difficult to come up with new and fresh ideas for kids in the age range of 10-12 years, especially for boys who have such a high level of energy. This event was easy to execute by using empty boxes from the recycle bin, which are FREE! The youth constructed their own fortresses for an ultimate energy-packed Nerf Gun battle event.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

The cost of this event was low since our costs were minimal. Most of the participants had their own nerf guns so all we needed were a few back-up guns, glasses for eye protection, some nerf arrows and repurposed cardboard boxes. The kids who had their own nerf guns were very excited to use them in the battle. The kids worked together as teams to creatively construct their own battlefield so they could take cover while reloading their nerf guns. They were able to have hours of fun with a fraction of the cost and a whole lot of imagination.
