How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Membership at Waverley Country Club is by invitation only so it is important for the Club to develop ambassadors that are excited about being a member and will share the Waverley story. We decided to turn the new member orientation process in to an experience rather than following a checklist to highlight the do's and don'ts. New members are also given high-end SWAG that includes items with the Waverley logo; assuming they will wear or use it proudly and be asked about their club.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

The SWAG bag is presented to the new member by the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Membership development with a personalized welcome card. The new members have been quite surprised about the quality and number of items; of course being very appreciative. One of the SWAG items includes a bathrobe that is embroidered with the Club logo. It is expected that all members will use a bathrobe in the Locker Room; we hope that when the existing members see the bathrobe in use, they will purchase one from the Golf Shop.
