Night Golf

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

What started as just a few members using the course at night, turned into a Club wide event! Not only did this event bring in some extra money during our golf season, it also solidified a new yearly event. We held one outing in the spring and another in the fall and sold out each time. Night Golf also allows for more profitability and usage of our golf course past normal operational hours.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

This past golf season was the first year we had this event. Each night we did it, in the spring and fall, it was sold out with ages varying from teenagers to 70-year olds. Everyone that plays loves it! It is great to see members of all ages intermingling with each other and enjoying the course at night and lit up in various spots. Our Professional Golf Staff used 5 different holes each night and used LED lights for the hole itself, flag pole and stakes around the green. Otherwise, our course was completely dark – and being in a rural area, it gets pretty dark around here! Members are already asking about dates for this upcoming Golf Season!
