ORC Exclusive Beverages

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

With a membership that has so many “exclusives” available to them, the Beverage department worked hard to develop several different offerings that could be found nowhere else but Ocean Reef Club. Starting with the Club’s bestselling spirit, Vodka, the Beverage Director worked with a distillery and the Club’s design team to create a product just for Ocean Reef. Named Reef Vodka, it is sold in the Club’s retail wine & spirits shop as well as available on menus across the Club. Exclusive Bourbons were also blended with Woodford Reserve and Jack Daniels. The result of which has exceeded expectations. Both bottles, complete with the Ocean Reef Club name, are nearing sell out.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

As you can imagine, blending and distilling exclusive beverages takes patience and a vast understanding of the complexities involved in producing a quality spirit. Additionally, leveraging relationships with trusted vendors, Woodford Reserve and Jack Daniels, the Club’s Beverage Director and F&B Operations Director traveled to Tennessee to taste and blend the perfect batch of bourbon. Members have started collecting the exclusive ORC spirits and many have commented on how special it is to have a spirit that is carefully and exclusively crafted just for them.
