"Pairing" with PVCC

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

In an effort to reach out to the community and enrich member knowledge of wine and oenology, Farmington teamed up with Piedmont Virginia Community College to give instructors and students a firsthand look into the private club world of wine. Students were each provided with a select wine to study and learn. Then, in a tasting room environment, students shared their new knowledge while serving wine to Farmington members.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Farmington also provided the students with a free TIPS class, which teaches "responsible service, sale, and consumption of alcohol." In turn, students hosted one of Farmington's Monthly wine tastings. This addition to Farmington’s variety of wine tasting experiences helped maintain member enthusiasm and provided for an excellent opportunity for both members and students to learn more about the study of wine.
