Pickle in the Pavilion

Description

When the Nebraska cold hits our club, our outdoor activities come to halt - except for Pickleball. Champions Run members are so dedicated to this fast-paced game that we move (upon request) our courts indoors to one of our larger halls. Not only is it a large space for plenty of movement, but it is also warm. Pickleball is a great way for members to stay active and meet other members of the club.

Implementation

In October 2019, we hosted a pickleball tournament outdoors that included snacks and cocktails, as well as a round-robin of pickleball. Members played with a partner, whether they were a member or not. Our club believes it is important to offer a variety of social events that are also an opportunity for some friendly competition and good exercise.
