Idea Fair

MRC Pop-Up Series Masters Dinner

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Periodically, MRGC hosts “Pop-Up Dinners”. Advertised one week prior, these events are curated to a small group, and the attendees are not aware of the theme, menu, or location. In honor of the Masters Tournament, this dinner was served in the Pro Shop! We started the night in the Golf Simulators with cocktails and a quick lesson from our Pro Staff. Then moved to the “surprise location” where members were in awe of the transformation. Complete with turf placemats, caddie name badge “place cards”, and the classic azaleas- the table dressed the part! The culinary team provided a lavish five course meal (that required staff to run it over from the main clubhouse). The tiny details really made this event shine. This event brought the Clubhouse and the Golf Staff together to create a memorable experience that our membership is still talking about!

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

The membership loved every second of this event. From the surprise location to the servers dressed as caddies, the details really set this event apart. This event couldn't have been possible without the help of every department. The golf staff, culinary team, F&B, and admin department really came together to create something special.
