Popup Supper Club

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

The idea was conceived to build some excitement around general use of the club, bring together Members of all ages, and across all dynamics and groups. It also served to showcase areas of the club that members Might not see on a regular basis, and put them in a new light. The event is a dinner, open to 24 members, with chef having free reign on menu and the club having free reign on setup, decorations, theme and location

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Members receive an email on a Monday, with instructions to respond within 72 hours for a popup Supper club. Open to the first 24 members who respond. They don’t know WHERE they are going, WHAT they are eating, or WHO will attend! Once their reservation is confirmed, members receive a followup email with instructions on how to dress, where to park their car and to follow the sign!

Our first supper club sold out in 1 day, our second sold out in 2 hours. We have featured unusual places on the property, and highlighted new construction. Since it was members signing up individually, we saw a broad mix of members of all ages and groups that might not otherwise come together.
