How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

We work to host several youth events throughout the year that are focused on giving back to the community. In the past we have visited local shelters and volunteered for a day, but this year we wanted to bring the shelter to the ROCC. Giving back is a core value at ROCC - creating these types of opportunities for our children give us the opportunity to solidify that culture with our future membership.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

We partnered with several local organizations to provide donations and bring in several rescue and service animals. We were completely sold out for the event and our children had an incredible time loving on our furry visitors. We sent dozens of handmade pet toys and blankets that attendees made that night, along with donated treats and food to the Houston SPCA after the event.
