Idea Fair
Pups, Pints & Pizza
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
Pups, Pints & Pizza is an annual event that brings a fresh and creative addition to the Club’s event lineup, catering to both members and their furry friends. Designed to offer a unique and inclusive experience, the event features separate dog parks for small and large dogs, house-made dog treats, and a variety of engaging activities for pets. For the human attendees, the event offers a pizza station, popsicles (and Pup-sicles for the dogs), and an assortment of draft beers. Adding a charitable element, all bar proceeds are donated to the local SPCA, further strengthening community ties and showcasing the Club’s creativity and commitment to giving back.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
The event was a collaborative effort across departments. The grounds team constructed the dog parks, the racquets team provided tennis balls for playtime, and the culinary and pastry teams developed unique and delicious offerings for both humans and pets. Promotion focused on the event’s fun and family-friendly appeal as well as its charitable partnership with the SPCA. Members loved the innovative concept, enjoying the chance to bring their dogs for a day of safe socializing and play. The SPCA partnership added a meaningful and impactful dimension to the event, which has quickly become a beloved and highly anticipated annual tradition.
