Salvation Army Pool Party

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

We wanted to give back to the local community by providing a Champions Run Experience to inner city children.  Following an after school program with the Salvation Army, we bussed 40 children on party buses to the club.  The kids were treated with free treats, dinner, apparrel and were given the club experience.  We had foam parties, games, and activities for the kids before bussing them back to their program.  The members loved seeing children who may not have the opportunity, experience their club first hand.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

We worked with the Salvation Army’s after school program to bring this idea to life.  We lined up the party buses, which were donated, and lined up donated food and beverage, and staffing.  The members loved seeing children who may not have the opportunity, experience their club first hand.
