How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

SOPs or Standard Operating Procedures are a part of our daily work. SOPs are created to ensure clarity and consistency in an operation. Many of our SOPs over the years are quite extensive with pictures being incorporated to allow for ease of interpretation for everyone. We decided to take the idea one step further and turn some of our SOPs into videos to help make them quicker to process and easier to access from anywhere through our online library or on demand with a QR code.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

The idea originated when we found a need to reset the club’s voicemail system and that a series of pictures and directions would be more complicated to understand. We came up with the idea of filming a video that allowed those involved the capability to view it directly from their mobile device at the time of need. The videos have allowed the SOPs to become immediately accessible. Our team members are finding the content easier to digest and quicker to learn. We have recognized that SOPs are fluid and need to be updated frequently, so having the ability to create a quick video, put together a QR code and upload to our staff library and at the point of contact has reduced the amount of time we have typically spent typing, inserting photos and going through multiple rounds of edits to produce the original standard operating procedure.
