Secret Slushie Parties

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

The kids at Champions Run love their slushies, so we came up with the idea to have a pop up beverage promotion called a ‘Secret Slushy Party’. At certain points in the week, our staff will fill 20-40 slushies and go hide with them somewhere on the property. Once hidden, another staff member will announce that there is a secret slushy party and all the kids go nuts. They all know what it means from the multiple times we have done the promotion. Kids run all over to find where the secret slushy party is located. When they find it, they keep quiet and drink their FREE slushy until more and more kids show up. It’s just one of many fun activities we do here at Champions, that the members absolutely love!

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

We started the promotion to promote the different kinds of slushy we offer. However, what we found is after hosting a secret slushy party, all the kids who didn't receive one, would go to the pool cafe and buy one at full price. Our slushy sales went through the roof! And as always, our members enjoyed the giveaways and the fun atmosphere it brings to the kids at the pool.
