Send Guest Information
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
Communicating club policies is an ongoing challenge for club management but it is often an uncomfortable topic for members as well. When inviting guests to the club it is the responsibility of the member to make sure their friends, colleagues, and family members abide by club policies and rules. However, just how comfortable are your members with explaining these policies to their guests? To ease this burden we created a “Send Guest Information” button on our member homepage. This allows the member to send an auto-generated welcome email to their guest. After a brief welcome message from the Club the email includes pertinent information such as directions, important contact numbers, dress code, and cellular phone policy. The form also captures guest contact information and can be used at a later date for marketing opportunities if desired.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
We implemented this idea with the assistance of our website service provider. It has been very well received by our membership and is a useful tool for helping them avoid uncomfortable situations if their guest(s) are unaware of club policy.
