Sidekicks: Junior Member-Guest Golf

Description

The idea of a junior member-guest golf experience was a big hit for Country Club of Lincoln. We fully recognize juniors are the key to growing the game of golf and this creative concept was an unqualified success. Sidekicks is an annual event all of our juniors now have marked on their calendars. The event has even helped Country Club of Lincoln attract new members. This event elevates the juniors in the Club who are working to improve their golf games, and as a result, our overall junior program participation has increased.

Implementation

The event was implemented through strategic planning and brand concept development during the off-season followed by approval from the Club’s board of directors. Once this was complete, the golf staff started the process of branding, promoting and recruiting players for Sidekicks. The members all raved about how well the event was executed and how much fun the juniors had participating in the event. This will be something we continue to have on our golf calendar and we hope to continue to increase the number of players each year.
