Silk Road Dine Around
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
Our members, like many, travel the world and have incredible experience that they wish to recreate at the club. When they bring these ideas to our teams it challenges us to think outside the box and collaborate together to bring their vision to life. For the Silk Road Dine Around our team exceeded expectations by working with engineering and catering to build a custom Indian Wedding Tent that was placed on top of a table as focal point of the ballroom. The table featured salt that was colored to resemble spices and marigolds to tie in with the theme. It is a delicate balance of keeping within budget restraints, determining what is operationally feasible, and ensuring we are exceeding the member's expectations.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
The culinary team reached outside of their normal culinary palette and featured action stations and food inspired by cuisines from India, Persia, Greece, and China. Members enjoyed trying and tasting new foods from the variety of cultures as well as seeing their club transformed into an exciting and vibrant 'street fair'.
