Skate Night

Description

Our First Annual Glow in the Dark Roller-Skating Night event was a KNOCKOUT with over 150 total
attendees ranging from ages 4 to 66! The event took place during the Christmas holiday week, when the Club is booming with visiting kids and grandkids! Each person showcased their talent, and skated multiple laps around the rink.

Implementation

The 40’ x 80’ roller rink with heavy duty fencing was installed in our Ballroom, and skates were provided for a child’s shoe size of 9 to an adult’s shoe size of 13: allowing grandparents, parents and children to skate the entire night, needless to say, this event was for everyone! The event occurred from 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m., and people eagerly arrived to a night of FUN! The room was completely decorated like an 80’s party with giant slinkies and balloons suspended from the ceiling, disco lights, and the disc jockey played the top 40 hits along with crowd favorites! Everyone savored the complimentary glow in the dark cotton candy, popcorn, assorted candy bars and soft drinks. All in attendance loved the concept of them being able to skate together as a family at the same time.
