A Socially-Distanced Visit with Santa

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Santa's arrival and the tree lighting on Fripp has always been a huge event. We were afraid we would have to cancel, but our marketing team came up with a great idea - "A Socially-Distanced Visit with Santa". All of our members and guests were grateful to see Santa and the lighting of the Beach Club. This was all outside with plenty of room for every one to keep their distance. After the lighting and Santa's arrival, Mrs. Claus sat in her little Beach Hut in the Beach Club circle and read a Christmas classic to all who wanted to sit and listen.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Again, our marketing team really went above and beyond to brainstorm an activity that we were afraid might not happen. The idea was to build Santa a small rooftop with a chimney where Santa could still "meet and greet" while socially distancing (via the chimney). Our talented maintenance staff did an incredible job designing and building the structure, and Santa was happy to be at a safe distance from all of the families who wanted time with him. Fripp Island members and guests were very grateful they got to see Santa this year.
