How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Phase 1 of our Lifestyle Facilities Master Plan included a conditioned wine room and 108 wine lockers for member use. To elevate the Food & Beverage experience, we launched SOMM Society, an exclusive wine club membership available to BCC members.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Registration for the SOMM Society opened in October 2021, in anticipation of the Five Farms clubhouse reopening.

SOMM Society members are enjoying the benefits of their membership:

• A personalized wine locker with storage for up to 12 to 15 bottles of wine in the newly renovated Five Farms clubhouse
• A personalized engraved nameplate that identifies the locker’s owner
• No corkage fees when a member’s wines are served at the Club (savings of $35 per bottle)
• Access to exclusive SOMM Society tastings in the new
• Wine Room
• A $250 credit towards a member’s first wine purchase through the Club
• Access to purchase limited and vintage releases at significant discounts (cost plus 10%)
• Members may bring wines from their private collection or purchase wines through the Club
• Access to a BCC Vintage Wine Booklet guiding members on wine purchases from different wine regions and vintages
• Quarterly tastings where SOMM Society members can showcase their personal favorites from their collection
• Exclusive access to the Club’s Coravin System
