Spring Festival

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Miramont’s third annual Spring Festival was held on Saturday, April 15, 2017, and it was a “taxing” setup for our staff. Among other things, our signature event of the spring featured a 100-foot zip line that was 28 feet high; 24-foot tall rock climbing wall; a 24-foot tall inflatable slide; a trackless train; a petting zoo; pony rides; an obstacle course; bounce houses; carnival games; an array of crafts; and photos with the Easter Bunny.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

The event attracted an all-time record of more than 300 attendees, and it was a huge success. Not only did our members have a great time with their children and grandchildren, but we also invited guests. In each of the first three years of the event, at least one new family has joined the club…largely because of the family-friendliness of the Spring Festival. Each year, the Spring Festival also features a fast-paced Easter egg hunt, which is probably the most exciting 60 seconds of the year at Miramont. This has become a great event that annually attracts plenty of guests who often become membership prospects.
