How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Sunday Sounds was born out of an idea to get Members out and enjoying the outdoor spaces of the Club while safely socializing with their families. We began a twice monthly live music series, held on Sundays at Sunset on the Event Lawn. Set up was minimal, and members were encouraged to bring picnic blankets and chairs to enjoy the event with their family.

How was this idea implemented and what have been the club members' reactions?

Local talent was sourced, keeping costs low, providing entertainment for members, and also work for another severely impacted industry, the music industry. Aside from the casual vibe of the outdoor concert, picnic baskets and bottles of wine were pre-sold for pick-up for a casual dinner. Club dining also benefitted from increased patronage before the show.

Because of COVID, we kept attendance low so we could adequately spread members out, yet each week we sold out at over 100 attendees. Sunday Sounds is returning this March for the Spring Season, and there is no doubt we'll see sell-out crowds back to enjoy this relaxing new addition to our Club Event calendar.
