Super Secret Hotline

Description

In the summertime, our lifeguards place an old-school telephone somewhere secret around the pool. If the kids find it, they must dial a phone number that calls our pool café. A member of our pool-side cafe staff answers and gives the kids a task to complete, such as yelling, “I am the queen of Champions Run!” at the top of the slide. If they complete it, they are rewarded with an icy slushy.

Implementation

This summer ritual is so exciting for our kids at the pool. We believe it is a great way for kids to make friends and keep them busy, especially during rest breaks. It is also fun for our staff who get to choose the location for the hotline and get to answer the call from the kids. Also, who doesn’t love a free slushy?
