How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
throughout the year to earn prizes--traditionally, a free month of classes is award to the challenge winners. This year, we introduced a tangible prize: currently trending Club-branded t-shirts, tank tops, and sweatshirts.
This idea has enhanced the club’s operations by providing members with exclusive, desirable merchandise, and spurring motivation and participation in each challenge. It also filled a gap in the club's offerings, as there are currently no fitness-focused branded apparel items available for purchase.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
The program was implemented by ordering extra apparel items when placing staff clothing orders: the staff served as advertising and no extra work was done to create prizes!
Participation in the GroupX challenges has soared, with members eagerly joining to win the coveted apparel. Increased challenge participation has translated into increased class participation, monthly GroupX subscriptions, and significant member-generated buzz regarding engagement and enthusiasm for the fitness programs.
