Team Scuba Diving

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

In order to kick off the summer on a positive note, we held a team building function for all our summer managers at our swimming pool. We hired a scuba company to come in and teach a scuba class to all the managers. It kicked off the whole summer on a positive note and built a lot of great energy amongst our managers.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

We implemented this idea by telling all the managers to bring their swimsuits to work a few hours before our large Memorial Day party. They had no idea what they would be doing and were very surprised to learn that they would be learning to scuba dive, an activity many of them had never done before. The benefit of this team building was that the managers were able to use this as a positive experience to carry over positive energy into the club throughout the summer. It also brought together a great working team.
