Idea Fair
The Centennial Membership
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
The Centennial Membership is a membership promotion inspired by our Club's upcoming 100th year building anniversary. We are also currently going through a renovation - so it was an opportune time to celebrate our club's history and connection to the community.
As a marketing/promotional strategy, our management staff came up with "100 reasons to Join" the Club. Not only was it a fun, team-building exercise for managers, but it also inspired pride as all of us believed in the multitude of benefits membership provides.
Splitting up the monthly payments into both dues and minimums allows us to take what we need to our bottom line, but also encourage club usage and dining by implementing the minimum.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
The idea has been developed through posts on our social media platforms, in our newsletters, and email blasts. We have encouraged our current members to get involved in the promotion by offering a $100 referral credit if they sponsor a new member to join.
Our current membership has been excited by the promotion, and it has instilled a sense of pride in them to be a part of something and share all of these reasons to join our Club. The referral credit is a nice motivator, and many members have used their credit to dine or attend an event at the Club.
We are excited to continue this promotion as we celebrate our 100th year!
