The Duck Races

Description

Champions Run wants to offer a fun and exciting activity on Saturday afternoons at the pool. After seeing duck races in the rivers around the area, we knew we wanted to create the same atmosphere, environment, and excitement at the pool. The premise was simple: buy 3 Ducks for $1. At every rest break, we instructed the kids to line up and kick to generate a WAVE. We then tossed in the rubber ducks and watched them float to the other side of the pool. The first one to get to the other side was the winner. All the ducks were numbered and corresponded with the member that had purchased them.

Implementation

The members absolutely loved this high-intensity activity. We hosted races at every safety (rest) break for the entire day. We gave away prizes such as shirts, tumblers, and CASH. The kids and adults had a blast and it provided simple and fun entertainment at the pool.
