Idea Fair

The Engaging Employee Culture

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

At Interlachen, we recognize that a strong, engaged team is at the heart of exceptional member service and long-term success. To foster a positive and inclusive work environment, we’ve developed a dynamic calendar of employee-focused events that celebrate achievements, build camaraderie, and promote professional growth. Each year we recognize the efforts of our dedicated team through a series of large, small, formal and casual events that simply celebrate the success of our collective efforts.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Club Management and the Club's Employee Engagement Committee,  an internal committee of employees from across the different departments of the Club, work to create an engaging calendar of events to celebrate our successes and recognize significant contributions from employees.

Annual Events Include:

  • Quarterly recognition of significant employment anniversaries by awarding service pins reflecting  the employees years of service at the Club.
  • Employee of the Month Annual Dinner: all employees of the month from the previous year and a guest of their choice are invited to a celebratory dinner at a local steak house to acknowledge their contributions at the Club.
  • Season Kick Off Party: An off-site casual gathering for employees to socialize before the Club's busy season kicks off.
  • Annual Holiday Party: An annual gathering at the Clubhouse to celebrate the holidays for all employees and a guest of their choice.
  • Board Appreciation Pool Party and BBQ: An annual event hosted by the Club's Board of Directors to show appreciation to employees and their families for all their efforts at the Club.

These efforts along with opportunities for growth and development have built a strong employee culture that celebrates our accomplishments, promotes high quality member service, and challenges our team to be the best!
