How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

The Golden Spoon Awards was an event developed to create Banquet employee engagement, appreciation, and retention after our busy season. The event has led to excitement from the team throughout the year.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Our Banquets Department rolled out the red carpet and created a special employee celebration: The Golden Spoon Awards. Hosted off-campus following the busy holiday season, staff were encouraged to dress up for the celebration and awards ceremony and they went above and beyond!

Leading up to the event, creative award categories were released to the team for voting – like the Napkin Ninja, Best Customer Service Voice, Wizard of Wine and more. When the winners were announced, they received gold, engraved spoons with the award category.

The Golden Spoon Awards were not just the highlight of the year for the team – the event was a creative way to build comradery that lasts the entire year. The planning is on for 2025!
