Treasure Hunt

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

We are always trying to find new and creative ways to engage activity and participation at the pool. Although sometimes we don’t like to promote or market an activity we are doing. Alas, the treasure hunt concept was born at the pool.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

The idea was simple. Bury a treasure at the pool with real jewels, money and other trinkets. Instead of telling anyone about the treasure, we simply put a framed picture of a map at our outdoor bar. Eventually word spread that their was a treasure and hundreds of kids began the search. We are proud to say only one group has ever found the treasure and it is something our pool is famous for! We want to provide activities to keep kids engaged at the pool if they aren’t swimming. Staff, kids, and older members all felt like kids again searching for the Champions Run treasure
