How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

We wanted two years ago during COVID to do something around Christmas that was outside, so we planned this event.  It went so well that we enhanced it even more this year, and it has been a sellout the first two years.  Members Satisfaction from it is high, and some members have joined saying once they came as a guest, they knew this was the place they wanted to belong.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

The entire senior management team came together to execute, from our Grounds Superintendent getting the tree sourced and set up, Maintenance decorating it, Food and Beverage, Golf Professional helping with merchandise for the event and Pool Manager manning the firepits, not to mention our Director of Communications and Marketing planning decor, Catering Director sourcing rentals, Food and Beverage Director and Chef planning all food and beverage and our Dining Room Supervisor helping manage the day of staffing, we all worked together.  Our members are still talking about the event and what a special tradition this has become at our club. Tapping into the nostalgia of Christmas and small-town charm made this event unforgettable and one we will look forward to putting on for years to come.  It has enhanced our Club Motto, "When You're Here You're Home"
