Idea Fair
Trick or Treat Spooktacular
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
In light of the coronavirus pandemic, Halloween looked a bit different this year. However, that did not stop the team at Commonwealth National Golf Club from hosting its annual Spooktacular event.
It gave our members comfort knowing their second home was still able to offer a way to enjoy the holiday and take steps to celebrate safely.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
Our team decided it was time to get creative by building a unique contraption to hand out candy in a fun, but COVID-cautious way such as our Candy Shoot. We also presented a safer alternative to Trick or Treating by offering socially distant candy stations that utilized all areas of our clubhouse including our pro shop, caddie master, half-way house grill and dining rooms. In addition, we had pumpkin painting, family photo ops, spooky snacks and drinks such as witches brew and spider vein juice.
This event had the whole family involved and received lots of positive and loveable feedback. Members and children are already excited to keep the tradition alive in years ahead!
