Water Park Day

Description

Water Park Day was all about fun, sun, water and bringing families together! During the winter holiday weeks, our South Florida club hosts many children and grandchildren of our Members. The addition of our new resort style pool at the Lifestyle Complex gave us an opportunity to include a day's events with a "water theme." FLOATOPIA attracted guests and Members of all ages who enjoyed the large, decorative floats. In the nearby parking lot, there was a small water park village with multiple water attractions.

The fun-filled Water Park Day was the latest addition in our holiday events planning. The inclusion of a day's events with a water focus in mind enhances our varied event calendar for the holiday weeks. Many of the guests come to visit year after year; new additions to our programming are always well received!

Implementation

The Activities Manager and staff procured multiple large, decorative floats such as a large pink swan, a donut with sprinkles, avocados, popsicles, and a large unicorn. Some of the floats accommodated multiple persons for just floating around or for the occasional game of "float tag." FLOATOPIA was not a standalone event. A small water park village was erected in the adjacent parking lot. The village had multiple slides of varying heights, bounce houses and a bubble pool.

The four hour events offered something for everyone and the families had a fantastic time enjoying the water and the bubbles!
