How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
The idea of an Employee Winter Wellness Challenge was proposed by our People & Culture team and implemented at first by gathering feedback from the employees to understand their interests and needs. Then, the P&C team planned and organized the challenge, taking into consideration various wellness activities such as fitness goals, healthy eating, and outdoor group activities. The challenge was communicated to all employees through emails, posters, and team meetings, creating excitement and anticipation. To ensure participation, rewards were offered for reaching wellness goals and milestones. Additionally, regular progress updates and support from the P&C team were provided to keep everyone motivated throughout the challenge. The implementation also included regular feedback sessions to assess the impact and make notes for future wellness initiatives. Overall, the implementation focused on creating a supportive and engaging environment for all employees to prioritize their well-being during the winter season.
The staff's reaction to the idea of a Winter Wellness Challenge in the workplace was overwhelmingly positive. Employees embraced the initiative as a means to prioritize their well-being and combat the challenges often associated with the winter season. The focus on setting personal goals related to fitness, healthy eating, and well-being for a 30-day period resonated well with the team, empowering individuals to take charge of their health and free time. The sense of camaraderie and support among colleagues was heightened as they collectively embarked on this wellness journey, with high participation rates and a shared feeling of accomplishment. The incorporation of weekly team walks further strengthened team cohesion and provided a platform for in-person connections and progress sharing. Overall, the Winter Wellness Challenge was met with a lot of enthusiasm and motivation from our team. At the end of the month we celebrated our unified success together with a Prize-Giving and BBQ and even put together a humorous movie to share with everyone at the gathering.
