Idea Fair
Wisconsin Club Transportation
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
What began as one 14 passenger bus, now includes a fleet of five shuttles, one limousine and a luxury coach. The Wisconsin Club transports members and guests to over 15 local venues as well as to Lambeau Field, Camp Randall Stadium, Chicago and beyond! In addition to our impressive fleet of vehicles, we also have some of the city's finest staff parking tens of thousands of cars each year at our City Club location alone. Members find the transportation department and its amenities to be one of the most valuable benefits of their membership.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
The first Wisconsin Club shuttle was purchased around the same time that the Club renovated the lower level bowling alleys into Alexander's in the mid-90's. The shuttle would transport the members and their guests to and from the Bradley Center for basketball and hockey games. With the popularity of Alexander's sports bar and dining room, the need for additional vehicles grew. Currently, we do approximately 60 covers at Alexander's and take between 75-100 members/guests to and from the BMO Harris Bradley Center for Milwaukee Bucks games. For Marquette Men's Basketball, the number is 150 covers and 300+ passengers. As the membership grows, so does the fleet.
