Career Opportunities & Networking Showcase
Mark your calendars for Sunday, February 26, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and connect with the next generation of club industry leaders, our CMAA Student attendees from hospitality programs around the country. This job-fair and networking forum is the place where students and managers can gather to discuss employment and internship opportunities as well as network and discuss goals and mentorship. Even if you do not have a current job opening at your club, managers looking to make an impact on the future leaders in the industry should plan to attend this event (Association Activity credit offered).
Mentorship Program
Are you a student looking to have more one-on-one time with a club management professional? Or are you a club management professional who has a passion for helping the next generation learn more about a career in club management? If you answered yes to either one of these questions, this program is for you! Mentors and mentees will be paired a few weeks prior to heading to Orlando to get to know one another and create a game plan for your time together at Conference. Schedule a coffee break at the Royal Cup Coffee House, a lunch or two, a “field trip” to the Club Business Expo, and/or make suggestions for which education sessions to attend based on interests and learning opportunities… the possibilities are endless! We are all so excited to be back in person for World Conference this year—the on-site Mentorship Program will surely help students and club managers connect and make the most of this time together! Sign up for this program when you register for World Conference.

Creating Your Own Personal Financial Mission Statement
IThis program will assist members in setting, identifying, and meeting financial expectations as you move through your professional careers. Additionally, discussion can include items to consider when negotiating and building employment agreements. For interested CMAA members, a limited number of personal consultations will be available at the 2023 CMAA World Conference at no charge as part of your CMAA membership.
My First World Conference
Is this your first World Conference? We’ve got you covered! In advance, listen to the January and February editions of the Let’s Talk Club Management podcast for insider tips. On site, plan to arrive in time to attend the First Timers “Newbee” Gathering on Friday, February 24, at 10:00 a.m. where you will network with other first-timers and hear directly from CMAA’s Board and Conference team. Stay tuned for your invitation to attend the “Newbee” Social on Friday, February 24!
Open Space
Make your own think tank with Open Space—run by attendees, for attendees, in an informal, relaxed, and open environment. You produce the topic or challenge, set the agenda for what’s discussed in the “pod,” and invite colleagues and new connections. The Open Space pod can be reserved for 30-minute conversations. More details on reserving the pod will be available closer to the World Conference.
Voting and Elections
While online voting will begin in December, there will be time set aside at the World Conference to vote for your 2023 CMAA National Directors and Bylaw amendments. Be sure to read Outlook and visit the election page to learn about your candidates before heading to the polls! (Voter eligibility verified on site.)
