CMAA Wine Society members are invited to embark on a memorable culinary and wine tour through the enchanting Finger Lakes region of New York, October 20-23, 2024.
The trip will kick off the evening of Sunday, October 20, at Hillick & Hobbs Winery with a Finger Lakes 101 education session and wine dinner catered by Hazelnut Kitchen.
On Monday, attendees will explore the rich history and flavors of the region, starting with a visit to Hermann J. Weimer Winery, known for its vintage wines. Afterward, enjoy a delicious lunch at F.L.X. Wienery, a local gem renowned for its gourmet hot dogs and sausages. The day will continue with a tank sample tasting at Anthony Road and a food and wine pairing session at Ravines Winery. The day concludes with a gourmet dinner at F.L.X. Table, where farm-to-table cuisine takes center stage in an intimate dining setting.
Tuesday will start with a scenic hike through the breathtaking Watkins Glen State Park, followed by a journey to Keuka Lake to visit Living Roots Winery, where attendees will be welcomed with a tasting and a lunch that perfectly complements their handcrafted wines. In the afternoon, delve into the future of the Finger Lakes with a session on sustainability and innovation in winemaking before heading to Dr. Frank Winery for a hands-on experience in the traditional method of disgorging. The day concludes with a final dinner at Quincy Exchange, where you'll savor a modern take on regional cuisine.
The trip will wrap up on Wednesday with a visit to Forge Cellars Winery in the morning where attendees will explore their unique approach to winemaking, leaving everyone with lasting memories of their time in the Finger Lakes.
