Research and Resources

CMAA Research ensures CMAA members and the broader club industry stay up to date on the latest data, trends, and best practices, while also identifying future areas of growth in club industry resources and data. This includes comprehensive resources such as CMAA Annual Reports, Industry Reports, various External Surveys and Internal Surveys, and responding to membership inquiries. 

Annual Reports include the Finance and Operations Report, which highlights key performance indicators important to the financial health of clubs, and the Compensation and Benefits Report, which focuses on employee salary and benefits information. 

Industry Reports and Resources include the Universal Key Club Performance Indicators Whitepaper, Club Employee Demographic Assessment, Capital Improvements Handbook, Private Club Governance: A Handbook of Principles and Best Practices (a collaboration with the National Club Association, and the Economic Impact Report (a collaboration between CMAA, Club Benchmarking, and the National Club Association). 

External and internal surveys cover various topics pertinent to the private club industry. The CMAA Research Committee plays a pivotal role in analyzing these topics for the benefit of CMAA members. External surveys are used to deliver helpful reports to the CMAA membership while internal surveys are used to assist in decision-making for various CMAA initiatives. 

Membership inquiries allow CMAA members to directly engage with the CMAA Research Department for assistance with specific questions, ensuring they have access to the information and support they need.
