Understand Your Certification Credits
There are several types of CMAA certification credits available to members. Here is a quick guide on each of the types of credits:
- CMI Credits–This type of credit is earned from national programs like Business Management Institute courses, the CMAA World Conference and Club Business Expo, Mid-Management Conference, Leadership/Legislative Conference, summits, national and Chapter-level virtual programs lasting at least three-hours in length, and workshops (can be at the Chapter level).
- Chapter Education Credits–This type of credit is earned from in-person education programs at the Chapter level.
- Other Education Credits–This type of credit is earned from attending approved education outside of CMAA. Some examples are college courses or full degrees and education from Allied Associations (PGA, GCSAA, NCF, etc.)
- Association Activity Credits–This type of credit is earned from participating in CMAA activities like attending chapter business meetings, registering for certain events, serving on national and chapter leadership roles, and guest speaking appearances promoting the club management industry. You can also earn Association Activity credits by attending both national- and Chapter-level virtual programs less than three hours in length.
Please feel free to contact the Professional Development Department if you have any questions regarding certification credits.
