How to Earn Association Activity Credits
Earning Association Activity (AA) credits is a key step toward achieving your Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation. One of the easiest ways to earn AA credits is through your CMAA membership. All members earn two AA credits for each year of CMAA membership. Another way to earn CMAA credits is by getting involved in your local Chapter. As a Chapter Officer you can earn up to eight AA credits in some Chapter positions. You can also earn one AA credit by attending Chapter business meetings. CMAA managers can also earn up to 15 credits by serving at the National level. CMAA managers can also earn one AA credit for webinars. For more information on webinar dates and times please visit the Webinars page.
CMAA also gives AA credits for conference registration. Members can earn three AA credits for Leadership/Legislative Conference and Mid-Management Conference registration. Managers can earn eight AA credits for Full Registration at the CMAA World Conference and Club Business Expo and four AA credits for Education Only registration. Managers can also receive two AA credits each for attending the Opening and Closing Business Session at CMAA World Conference.
You can contact Sonya Rome, manager of Certification and Education, at 703-739-9500 for more information.
There Is Still Time to Share Your World Conference Feedback
Thank you to all who attended this year’s World Conference and Club Business Expo. Please share your thoughts on the World Conference so we can ensure that this event meets your needs. Your time is valuable so this survey is short and should take no more than five minutes to complete. On behalf of the CMAA Board of Directors and team, we are so glad you could be with us in San Diego and greatly appreciate your feedback. We look forward to being together again next year for the 2023 World Conference and Club Business Expo, February 24-28, in Orlando, FL!

President & CEO’s Perspective: Trust
Hello CMAA! My sincere thanks to all who attended the World Conference and Club Business Expo in San Diego, CA. It was exactly the break we needed to recharge and spend time with each other. Thank you for making this Conference a special one.
This month, I want to ask about trust:
- Does your club team trust you?
- How about your members?
I am sure your answer to these is an affirmative one. Our ability to give and receive trust is paramount to healthy clubs, a healthy environment, and a healthy relationship with our boards and members.

Have You Received a Scholarship from The Club Foundation?
The Club Foundation (CF) has a new crowd-funding campaign focused on raising scholarship dollars for future awardees. Have you benefited from the $8.5 million CF has awarded in scholarships and grants? We are asking past recipients to participate by donating, creating an individual and/or team page, sharing the campaign link in social media, and encouraging others to support the mission of The Foundation. Together, our goal is to raise $5,000 – enough to cover two James B. Singerling Scholarships for first-time World Conference attendees, 10 Student Chapter Grants, multiple education grants for Chapter awardees, or to support any of our other scholarship programs. We will share the names of the top three fundraisers after the campaign and each of those three individuals will receive a CF tote bag full of goodies. The campaign runs through April 30, so come visit the campaign page. You can also text CFSCHOLAR to 71777 to donate now!
Did You Know: The Chairman’s Fund Campaign for Student Development a Success
The Chairman’s Fund campaign to generate funds to develop students who will be the future leaders in our industry was a resounding success. The effort was initiated by two veteran CMAA leaders, Eric Dietz, CCM, CCE, PGA, and Mark Bado, MCM, CCE, who have shown a tremendous commitment to the mission of The Club Foundation. Donors in the Founding Group have each committed to at least $10,000 in contributions over the next five years – that’s more than $560,000 total. We will continue this success by introducing new initiatives and we will share those details with you in the future. We are hugely grateful to those who spearheaded the effort and to those who have committed to contributing regularly over the next five years. To learn more about the fund or see a list of the names of those who contributed, visit our Chairman’s Fund page.
