Check Your Credit History Online
With the busy summer season fast approaching, now is a good time to audit your certification credit history to ensure that all of you certification credits are in your record. You can check your credits on cmaa.org. Once you log in, click the drop-down arrow next to your email address in the top right corner and select “Education Credits”. The best way to see a complete listing of your credits is to click on the “View” credits button and enter the date-range of the period you are looking for.
If you notice any discrepancies, please contact the Professional Development Department.

Membership and Member Benefits
President & CEO’s Perspective: Embodying Meaningful Success
I recently saw a CMAA member’s post on LinkedIn that shared a concept called “meaningful success.” Meaningful success marks the points in time when: 1) we are doing things we love, 2) we are doing it well, and 3) we are serving others. These times can occur in our career, at home, or any place in life. At times when we are doing things where all three concepts intersect, we are in that space of “meaningful success.” Our life in this space is likely the most meaningful, most purposeful, most fulfilling and we are probably the happiest. I love this and strive to live my own life in this space as much as possible.
Life is not just about success. It is really about meaningful success.

National Golf Day Hits Milestone
Annually, National Golf Day brings industry professionals to Capitol Hill to share the industry’s contributions and advocate for the legislative and regulatory issues impacting the industry. National Golf Day serves as the pinnacle advocacy event of the year for the American Golf Industry Coalition, formerly known as We Are Golf. The Coalition celebrated its 14th annual event on Wednesday, May 11. For the second consecutive year, the event was presented virtually, enabling the event to hit a new milestone. With more than 200 participants conducting more than 250 virtual meetings with members of Congress, every state in the US was represented for the first time in the event’s history.
Volunteer advocates from CMAA’s Advocacy Committee, Chapter Legislative Chairmen, and other interested members joined professionals from across the golf industry to educate Congress and their staff on critical issues including workforce and labor, environment, and health and wellness.
Key Trends Impacting the Golf Industry This Summer and Beyond
As we emerge from the pandemic, it’s quite clear that the golf industry won’t revert to 2019, rather shift and adapt to ongoing challenges and opportunities. Seven trends have emerged that club management professionals should consider to increase efficiency, attract guests, and boost business performance.
May 27 Is Don’t Fry Day
The National Council on Skin Cancer Prevention has designated the Friday before Memorial Day as “Don’t Fry Day” to raise awareness of skin cancer prevention and to encourage everyone to protect their skin as they head outdoors to kick off the summer season. Take time to remind your outdoor employees and members that sun protection is not limited to vacation. Remind your outdoor employees and members to protect themselves at work and play every day with sunscreen, sunglasses, and wide-brim hat.
There are fun graphics for your newsletters and social media available as well.
