The Club Manager Panel was a collaborative event hosted by our CMAA student chapter and the Hospitality and Tourism Management Department. Featuring representatives from companies attending our career fair, this interactive panel provided students with a unique opportunity to connect with industry recruiters in a personal and engaging setting. Through open discussions, students gained valuable insights into the private club industry, learned about different career paths, and built professional connections before the career fair. By giving students the chance to connect with recruiters in an informal setting before the career fair, the panel helped attendees feel more confident and prepared for formal interviews and networking. The panel attracted a wide audience, including current members, prospective members, and hospitality students, increasing participation and interest in our chapter's activities.

Implementation

We worked with our department who hosts the career fair and the panel the night before and got permission to promote our student chapter. We talked with attendees who were in the session and got their information to send them more information about our student chapter. The panel went through introductions, career paths, and specific information about each private club and its internship program. Members appreciated the chance to engage directly with recruiters before the career fair, finding it less intimidating when speaking with them. They learned information about the internship program, and specifics about the company.
