Student & Faculty Chapter Idea Fair
CMAA "Club Quest" Cross-Chapter Adventure
Johnson & Wales University Student Chapter
Entry Details
This idea has not been implemented yet but as a faculty member, I propose the CMAA "Club Quest" Cross-Chapter Adventure initiative, which would foster collaboration and hands-on learning through cross-chapter club tours, challenges, and idea-sharing. I believe this concept offers valuable opportunities for students to apply classroom knowledge, build connections across chapters, and engage with industry professionals. I look forward to exploring how we (faculty) can support and implement this idea.
Imagine turning cross-chapter club tours into an interactive adventure! The CMAA "Club Quest" lets students virtually or physically "travel" to different private clubs, uncovering operational secrets and best practices. Each student chapter hosts a themed "tour" showcasing their club's facilities and management strategies.
Participants engage in gamified challenges—quizzes, problem-solving, and activities based on real-world scenarios—testing their club management knowledge. Afterward, they’ll share insights during “Idea Swaps” and discuss how to implement new ideas in their own chapters. Chapters can offer unique experiences such as social media challenges.
Implementation
Even that this idea has not been implemented yet. The CMAA "Club Quest" transforms cross-chapter club tours into an engaging and educational experience for students. The CMAA "Club Quest" will not only promote cross-chapter learning but also cultivate a vibrant community of club management enthusiasts dedicated to collaboration, innovation, and fun. By engaging students in interactive experiences, it will help build connections among students while fostering a shared passion for the industry. This approach will make professional development more dynamic, engaging, and relevant, ensuring that the next generation of club managers is well-prepared and inspired for success.
I am confident that students will gain valuable insights from this experience, while faculty will have the opportunity to support and guide them throughout the project.
