Student & Faculty Chapter Idea Fair
Resume Building Workshop
Johnson & Wales University
Entry Details
The workshop aims to create a networking environment by connecting students with professionals, alumni and senior chapter members. This provides an opportunity for students to build valuable relationships, as well as seek advice on improving their resumes, while also gaining insights into the industry. By engaging with these experienced individuals, students will not only develop a deeper understanding of career opportunities while also squiring the skills necessary to craft an effective resume with personalized feedback and guidance from industry professionals.
Implementation
The CMAA student officers propose the idea of hosting a Resume Workshop event specifically for students interested in private club careers. While this event has not yet taken place, the university has previously organized similar workshops, and they have proven to be highly beneficial for students in other fields. We believe that by offering this event through the CMAA student organization, we can provide valuable support for students looking to enter the private club industry. The workshop would focus on helping students improve their resumes, providing tailored advice and guidance on how to stand out in this particular career field. By partnering with industry professionals, alumni, and senior chapter members, students would gain insights into the private club sector and receive feedback that would help them create more effective, professional resumes. Ultimately, we believe this workshop will be a valuable resource for students who are passionate about pursuing careers in the private club industry and want to enhance their job readiness.
