UMass Student Profiles - A Decade of Excellence in Promoting Club Management

This is an enhancement of the UMass CMAA Student Profiles, 2024 -- a decade of providing information to managers about students seeking placement in club management profession.  Over the decade the profiles have been enhancement to include current students listed in two formats, a full listing with photo and description or a line listing, and over time has also provided managers with an on-going listing of our UMass alumni and UMass mentors who are continuing to promote the club management profession and supporting the program and students.

Implementation

The current UMass CMAA Student Profiles, 2023-2024 is distributed digitally to 400 NECMA Members and nationally to over 100 clubs and hard copies are made available at CMAA World Conference and job fairs.  Information is gathered each fall semester by use of Qualtrics info survey and then updated into a booklet format.   Club managers routinely request this booklet to aid in their recruitment process.  The reaction is extremely positive from both the students and managers.  Managers love this publication as they can identify students who have club interest in their area or who may desire to be in their location.  Students receive multiple offers from various clubs by reviewing their profiles.  This is a win-win for both students and managers in matching opportunities with skills, interests and desires of the students.
